Who’s Innovating? Who is Doing?

September 11th, 2011

Todd and I invite the true believers, network engineers, the ambitious entrepreneurs and emeritus scholars of the B2B messaging world, (in short all who wish to see the sector thrive via technological innovation), to contact us and tell us what you would change, what you would do in cooperation if other, like minded colleagues had your ear? Tell us what kind of technology you would license or share, and how you might envision a dedicated cadre of competitor-colleagues creating a charter for an “Applied Research and Development Consortium”?

What if you could get the tech you needed – by cooperative development or licensing? What if you could influence interVAN issues, like message routing policies, as part of a group of industry advocates, at the regulatory level and beyond. Such a new, dynamic, and action-oriented organization would address some of the the ills of our market, but be more focused on solving the problems of the SME market expansion – what the analyst’s have termed, “the next $30B in EDI and B2B services revenues”.

Well? Call us and become involved with your fellow colleagues and other motivated thinkers in the EDI market. We intend to act.

India, oh EDI India, we get it ! We do.

September 9th, 2011

Personally, I have had a fascination with Indian culture since I was a young man. I have worked closely with Indian colleagues and I found their work ethic astounding. I also think that sometimes there can be an amazing synergy between the small tech innovators here in the USA and the powerhouse forces being unloosed in the Indian IT sector, because I participated in this first hand during my tenure at FT R&D in South San Francisco (Hey, Devesh, where are you now, man?).

New Use Cases

July 2nd, 2011

The ECGridOS in Action page has a new use case by Dimension Software of Denmark, see how Jesper Cartensen extended Orbis TaskCentre BPM suite with ECGridOS’ powerful EDI network management functionality.

Loren Data Corp and Oakland Software, a Re-Imagining the EDI Service Provider’s Power Tools.

June 6th, 2011

We still have strenuous and energetic innovation in the EDI communications industry, way past the entrenched laggards and mergers, past the same old worn out tarnished brands that have occupied and profited in the sector for decades, we have fresh and enthusiastic thought leadership, right here and now, with our partnership with Francis Upton of Oakland Software. I even continue to see sprouts of hope from other small ventures that have the capacity to scale and deliver ‘over the horizon’ , chasm-crossing ecommerce services our EDI market has deserved, (but has been denied) for so long.

The “Brand Persona of Loren Data Corp ECGrid / ECGridOS” and another Seth Godin-ism.

April 27th, 2011

So, rather than alluding to the failings of EDI sector giants, let’s ask right here, “What is the Brand Persona of Loren Data Corp?” And, “What are the core values driving the company?”

Putting the beastly myth to bed – API is better…than anything!

April 6th, 2011

We offer an API for EDI communications and network management services, used for delivering comprehensive better than VAN service levels. If your B2B venture lives and dies by the quality and reliability of your EDI backbone operations, we provide that extra network control and authority that allows the creation of new features, builds in enhanced reliability, and empowers you to integrate self-service EDI features for your end users. And that’s what it’s all about, end user control.

Throwing Around the Word, “Embedded”, like it means something….and it does.

March 26th, 2011

We will always be plain spoken about what we mean by the word, “embedded”.

In the EDI communications market, everyone is selling, “Kraft Singles”. Another gem by Seth Godin.

March 16th, 2011

our backgrounds favor a propensity to debate and examine the overriding philosophy of electronic commerce networks, impacts on trading and business relationships, and how these current models and the current product sector “fits” what seems to be a rapidly evolving global economy.

Mastery Matters in the rapidly changing EDI Communications businesss

February 24th, 2011

we need a firm commitment to establish of a set of rules and requirements defining EDI systems interconnection as non-settlement by design. This formality simplifies the rates and relationships for end-users and intermediate system operators (service providers) using the infrastructure of our messaging utilities.

The Concept of Bailment and Trading Partner Rights

January 23rd, 2011

A healthy, connected ecommerce industry, has well ordered, collegial interconnection policies designed to weather mergers and technical innovations alike, while preserving the interests of its subscribers, our clients and trading partners!
